Great Weekend.

What a wonderful weekend I've just had.

Friday evening, Andrew and I spent at a game night with a bunch (and I mean a BUNCH) of little kids running around. There were like 10 kids there all under the age of three. It was fun. We didn't really play a lot of games, but we totally did some parent-talking and ate a lot of yummy food so that was great.

Saturday brought a dreary day which was just what Andrew and I needed to motivate us to clean out our apartment closet. The exciting part about this was that I got to dive into my giant tub of maternity clothes, and even though I don't really need them yet, they are SOOOO comfy and I'm way excited about wearing them again.

And then came the highlight of at least the month. Andrew and I attended "A Night of Romance" put on by the Natural Family Planning and Family Life Office in our Diocese. It was wonderful. We got all dressed up and carpooled to the place with some of our friends from Church. The night was filled with a fancy dinner, some singers, lots of doorprizes, a comedian from Connecticut and then dancing!!! Plus a TON of our engaged and newly married friends were there so it was neat to get to see everybody and catch up. On top of that we won these 2 handmade swarovski crystal rosaries which are super pretty. Don't ask me why we need fancy lookin rosaries... I mean I'm pretty sure a rope with some knots works great... or heck... even your fingers... but they're pretty nevertheless. Anyone want to buy them from us? I'll make you a deal!! :)

Sunday was totally a day of relaxation. We went to Divine Mercy Sunday Mass (my favorite Sunday of the Liturgical Year), and then spent the rest of the day seriously chilling. KU made it to the final four after a very nail-biting filled performance against Davidson. Then we made a yummy dinner.

All in all... GREAT WEEKEND! Oh yes... and also ROCK CHALK!!

I Am Legend

Okay, so Andrew and I rented "I Am Legend" last night. I think I liked it. It was delightfully frightening and Will Smith was as hot as ever (he's totally in my top 5). But it was also kinda icky because I realized I don't like being frightened nearly as much as I used to. Also... it seems as I've gotten older, I've really started to not like sitting down for 2 hours to watch a movie. I think it has to do with how engrossed I get in them. When the flick is over, I feel all out of sorts and it takes me awhile to get back into real-life. It kinda freaks me out. Plus, I Am Legend made me think about mortality and the end of the world and all that jazz and that stuff also freaks me out. I think I'm way more paranoid when I'm pregnant.

Did I mention Will Smith is totally hot?

By the way, I'm 9 weeks pregnant... almost out of first trimester!!!!! Yeay!

PB on Bread

I hate eating Peanut Butter on toast late at night... especially when my husband buys this super- duper-fiber-rich-whole-wheat-make-you-feel-like-you're-chewing-on-tree-bark bread.

But, thank God for small favors, because eating this yucky concoction at night is helping to ward off the early morning morning sickness that tends to plague me these days.

Also... feeling icky during Holy Week seems pretty fitting so it's all good, right?

Excuse me now while I go finish my tree bark.

It's official. I have a tiny Irish rock band in my uterus.

Baby U2 is itty bitty, but definitely there and he/she will join us in the out of utero world sometime around Halloween.

Mia's a big sister!!! YEAY!
