Why don't you ever POST anymore?

B/c I work 50 hours a week at a job that has no internet access and once I'm home I'm pummelled by so many things to do, people to talk to, and weddings (okay just one) to plan, that I have little time to blog.

But that may all change if God wills it. :)

The Fall of Contentment seems to be working out well so far. Andrew received a promotion just before I named the season. This means he'll be working only days soon and he'll actually have weekends off like the rest of us! Wahoo!

Rachel and Randy should be arriving home from Cancun anytime now (after being stranded their by the hurricane during their honeymoon), so I'm sure coming home will provide some contentment for them. Plus, we can all calm down a bit knowing they are safe back home. Phew!

Someone at Kim's job just got a new job that he's been wanting forever and ever. He is way happy and we are excited for him so that's great too!

I'm quite sure there's more to come so keep your eyes open for the "click" of this season.

Guess what I'm doing?

I am sitting at my kitchen table waiting for my dry cleaning to get done. I'm trying Lisa's Dryel stuff to dry clean some suit jackets. Do you know why I needed a suit jacket so urgently??? Because I have an interview tomorrow morning!!!!! WOOPEEE!!!! I have found a job that finally seems like a career. It seems like a vocation. It seems like something that God created just for me to do.

I'll let you know more about it if I actually get the position. But please pray for me around 9am Friday, for that is when I'll be in my second round of interviews for this position.

Welcome to the Fall of Contentment!

I believe that my future sister-in-law put everything I was wanting into this one word. This Fall shall bring Contentment... whether that means we will gain a greater appreciation for the people and situations we currently have in our lives, or whether it means that new jobs, new cars, new friendships, and new other things will make everything just feel right.

I hope you're excited for the Fall because I am VERY much excited for it.

Um... so it's cold now

Hey there ladies and gents!

It's like kinda chilly outside today and I have a few extra minutes. I suppose it's about time to put out the FALL theme. No one has even inquired about this theme which makes me a bit sad... but whether you care or not... there IS a theme and it SHALL be announced. But first.. let's review.

It all began with Winter 2003. The Winter of Love was one filled with much coupling. It seemed as though all of my friends had fallen into some relationship or another, and I (as was par for the course for me back in those days) was incredibly infatuated with 3 or 4 guys. The Season was filled with me doing much flirting and my friends doing a much kissing. It was fabulous.

Unfortunately soon followed Spring of Heartache. Breakups... crushes begining to CRUSH... many tears. It was not so much fun. But Kim and I met lots of new people and became friends with Jose and Lisa that season. And they were great remedies for the sadness we had experienced. It was partly because of meeting these two fabulous people that we entered into...

The Summer of Possibilities. It brought random road trips... Ray finding the man of her dreams... and the idea of moving into a home instead of apartments. Many possiblities came and went (including week-long relationships). Tee hee. ;)

And who remembers the Fall of Making it Happen? Tom and Kim engaged... Ray and Randy engaged... Moving into the Daisy House... Getting involved in young adult ministry. Dan and Stephanie pregnant!!

My favorite season was the Winter of Anticipation. I named it that because I knew something BIG was about to happen for lots of people... though I didn't know exactly what in every case (and I couldn't have even fathomed what I was preparing for). We were anticipating weddings... trips to DC... potential boyfriends (that we knew nothing about), Springer babies, and new jobs. And it was so AMAZING to enter into the next season just as everything wonderful was starting to happen.

The Spring of New Beginnings. Lisa dating. I met and fell in love with Andrew. The Daisy House took on a whole new role and a whole group of people. Baby Elizabeth was born. So many new beginnings and changes began this summer... I think it was a life-shaping season.

And we are now up to this summer: The Summer of Clarity. Did you have things come clear to you. I realized without a doubt that I was going to marry Andrew... and he proposed. Lisa and Jose realized that they work best as just friends. Some of us were hit over the head with thoughts that just weren't getting through up to now. It's been an enlightening time... and one full of many "What was I thinking?!" moments.

And now dear friends we are up to Fall of 2005. It's been nearly 2 years since I began this game of naming seasons. I know what this Fall is about... but I cannot find the word to express it. So I need a little help. The season we are entering is one that will be filled with things coming together. A lot of stuff that we've been waiting for is just going to fall into place. Things will just CLICK this season. Now what shall we call that.
