Vincent Joseph was born on November 6, 2008 at 2:04 p.m.

Our little Vince weighs 9 lbs 6 oz and is 20 inches long.

Mommy had Vince naturally and both she and Vince are doing well!

More details and 1st photos to come when we get home!!

The REAL countdown begins

Hello ladies and gents!

This blog is to inform you that sometime in the next 24 hours, U2 will definitely be out. I go in for an induction at 7am on Thursday. If I don't go into labor on my own tonight (which at this point does not seem likely), then you can assume I'll be in labor by 8am tomorrow.

Please pray for baby and I that we may both come through labor and delivery without complications and being healthy and grand!

A post will go up as soon as possible after U2 arrives letting you know who he/she is!!

Today, Tomorrow, Never?

Perhaps this baby will never come out.

Mommy's current status: One day over due. Seriously moody. And very ready to be unpregnant again.

Baby's current status: Giant and still kicking.

Daddy's current status: Attempting to put up with mommy.

Mia's current status: Well... two days ago she walked by me, pointed to my belly and yelled "BABY, OUT!!!" So I'd say she's ready for her new sib to arrive.

5 years of blogging

Wow... it's pretty crazy to me that I've been at this blogging business for 5 years now. On October 10th, 2003, inspired by my blogfather Kyle, and a serious lack of stuff to do at my extremely boring first job out of college, I started a blog. I had no idea what it would be, or exactly what I would talk about... but it's been a great 5 years, and I love being able to look back and see how things have changed.

From confusion about boys, to religious debates, to arguments with friends, to dating, engagement, marriage and baby-having... it's been quite a ride.

Care to make a guess?

Alright, kiddos... just before Mia's birth, I asked for guesses on her actual appearance date. If you remember, she was due on January 26th and born after inducement about a week later on February 2nd. I think Kyle got closest last time with his guess of February 3rd just after the Jayhawks game.

Well, we are once again nearing the due date, and I'd like guesses again if you're up for it. Our actual due date is October 31st. Most likely they will induce on November 6th if baby doesn't come before. But I am at 37 and half weeks right now, so baby is good to go any old time. Basically you have about a 3 week window of guessing.

Closest guess wins ... well ... probably nothing, but at least you'll have a story to tell and future moms-to-be can hunt you down and ask for their actual delivery date as well.

I just don't see how we can make someone who criticizes the teachings of Jesus our next president. Frankly, that's just messed up.
